Dharma Engagement Initiative

Stone Creek’s Dharma Engagement Initiative began last summer as sangha members sought for a way to publicly express our dharma commitments as we faced increased “othering” of vulnerable populations in this country and horrific attacks against the Palestinian people in Gaza.

Since then we have joined with others to support migrant defense efforts, both in rapid response networks, and helpful outreach to those targeted.

We have initiated a Jizo bodhisattva practice, calling on the guardian bodhisattva of children, travelers and prisoners, to amplify and embody our concerns for their welfare.

We take part in public demonstrations on these issues and others.

Interested sangha members meet monthly for discussion of current issues and opportunities to respond. How can we support each other and our practice in these efforts? Please share your ideas and activities and become part of the conversation.

If you would like to be involved, our next is meeting: March 22, 11:45 -12:45 pm
