Stone Creek has two peer-led Aging in Practice circles. Members share conversations about aging and our Zen practice. The circles are open to those who have attended practice at Stone Creek. Sharing our stories and listening to others, without judgment, is part of our Zen practice—this is Dharma in action.
We honor each other’s confidentiality and share from our own experience and curiosity. We resist the impulse to give advice. Silence is welcome. Opening our hearts and minds to each other’s stories takes ‘practice’ and is transformative. We rotate facilitators monthly so each member can choose a topic and lead our discussion. Topics can include most anything that touches upon Zen practice and aging.
Circle members commit to attending monthly meetings to build community and trust. Currently Circle #1 is full. However, there are openings for Circle #2, which meets the 2nd Monday of each month from 2:00-3:30pm in the Zendo.
